She has always been a champion to those in need and is devoted to spreading respect so that all people have equal rights.
Additionally Lisa has vast experience in the non-profit world as director of corporate partnerships and special events for The Louisville Orchestra, vice president of Youth Endowment for the Arts and as a consultant to charitable organizations in board development and management, fundraising events and sponsorships.
Lisa has managed multi-million dollar brand marketing campaigns and international programs in her capacity as Vice President of P.R. and events marketing agencies. Her past clients and/or affiliations include General Electric Company, Churchill Downs Incorporated, Coalition for the Homeless, The Louisville Orchestra, B’nai b’rith Foundation, Youth Endowment for the Arts, Quaker Oats, The Jimmy Heuga Center for MS, The National Ripon Society, and other Fortune 500 companies.
In addition, under the chairmanship of Senator John G. Tower, she managed the joint venture between an American Board of Directors and British Board of Directors to build “The American Air Museum In Britain” campaign to raise jointly $45 million. As the liaison for the American board she worked with Sir John Grandy on behalf of Prince Edward. Lisa also was in charge of more than 1,500 volunteers for the eight Inaugural Balls for President George Herbert Walker Bush. She lives in Texas with her husband and is the proud aunt of three nieces, one nephew and two stepchildren ranging in age from 12 to 27.
“To be a child in today’s world is complicated and challenging. To be a child in today’s world without respect as a core value is alarming. Every day children are faced with unacceptable disrespect dilemmas. But too many of our children don’t know how to respect themselves therefore don’t expect it or give it. Through our work at The Respect Institute, we are striving to provide children around the world with the tools they need to truly believe in themselves. To know that respect for self and for others will guide them in making good choices in their lives. I was very fortunate as a child to have parents and teachers that taught me and my siblings that respect is the ultimate gift and responsibility. My mother used to say to us: ‘wear it well and share it often.’ As adults, we have the responsibility to lead by example. We all can make a difference by reaching out to our youth to spread respect.” —Lisa
