Your contribution to The Respect Institute will help us reach all youth through our programs and research to bring social change to the growing disrespect dilemmas that derail youth and families. We believe that respect is the remedy. If you believe in our mission to make respect the status quo too, you can support our work through your generous donation.

Special message from our co-founder Courtney Macavinta:
As the daughter, sister and wife of 4 men who spent time in youth institutions and federal prison, we’ve added a key component to our impact model for the next three years: reaching AT-RISK and INCARCERATED YOUTH through Respect on the Inside. We’ll offer training and program guides for youth influencers working in jails, rehabilitation centers, foster or group homes and shelters. In 2012, we want to reach 30,000 youth in institutions next year. When they get out, we want them to have new tools and new definition of respect to help them thrive. We are raising $30,000 to make it happen. $1 per youth reached. (In contrast, in my home state of California it costs $90,000 a year to house 1 youth in juvenile hall for 1 year).
