Reaching 10,000 Girls Via Clinton Global Initiative – The Respect Institute

Reaching 10,000 Girls Via Clinton Global Initiative

By April 4, 2014Events

Ri and its partners are committed through CGI to reaching 10,000 vulnerable girls and their influencers with self-respect-building tools by 2015 to help improve their life and academic outcomes.

As of June 2014, we have 10,000 girls enrolled! Research shows that vulnerable girls and young women, such as those from low-income communities or those who’ve experienced trauma, have an increased risk of not achieving academic goals in high school as well as dropping out of college due to feeling a lack of belonging, according to The Respect Institute’s interviews with hundreds of educators and girls nationwide. The mission of The Respect Institute (RI) is to give youth and their influencers the tools (Respect 360) to redefine respect and build self-respect so that they can break cycles of disrespect and thrive.
